Traditionally, organisations seeking to make a 'step-change' in safety performance have concentrated on developing systems, procedures and investing in technical training.  Whilst these are important, there is a growing realisation that this approach has its limits.  Best practice shows that to achieve a real breakthrough in performance, the emphasis needs to be person-centred rather than solely procedure-centred.

We provide one or two-day sessions, bringing together teams, organisations or complex contractor partnerships, to develop safety agendas and to agree areas to focus on to enhance safety performance.

Interventions are a fundamental tool to ensure people, teams and organisations  create a learning culture, improve on their practices and sometimes avoid immediate safety hazards.  We provide 1/2 to one-day workshops to help people recognise the need for various intervention types and to gain the skills to ensure positive outcomes.  We work with office and field-based people at all levels.
365 Behavioural-Based Safety Coaching
We have been working in the field of safety coaching for over 10 years, with experience gained in the Oil & Gas industry and now transferred to Rail and Construction sectors. Our safety coach programmes aim to:
  • Develop Coaches to have a greater self-awareness of the roots of their own beliefs, attitudes and behaviours with regard to safety
  • Equip Coaches with an enhanced ability to be effective communicators and influencers
  • Give Coaches a greater understanding of group dynamics and the influence of peer pressure
  • Create Coaches who have the confidence and skills to engage others in difficult and challenging conversations.        
Safety Leadership
At people=positive™ we believe in creating champions rather than cheerleaders.  Creating a successful vision for safety in any organisation has to start from the 'top' and leading by example is key.  Being aligned as a leadership team is essential.
